I've been widening the kitchen floor area toady, not much to look at or photograph unfortunately.

Stay with me on this description, it's wordy...
The areas either side of the gangway in the kitchen 'zone' were 600mm deep, adding the slope of the walls, it meant that the worktop (also 600mm deep) , when placed, would not overhang the floor as is normal (you know, in the kitchen you can get your feet under the worktop a small amount).
To get around this I've made the floor bigger by 5 inches (2.5in either side, sorry to mix imperial and metric). This will allow for a 10mm or so overhang, all that's left is to get a bigger bit of flooring and to cut down the floor of the cupboard bases to fit.

Friday again, plumbing today.

The tap and waste are fitted to the sink.

Waste pipe is installed and the hot/cold feeds are connected.

The Jabsco Par Max 2.9 temporarily installed, you can see the waste doesn't exit directly behind the sink (as this area will be tiled so un-get-at-able if it starts leaking), instead it runs back into the saloon under the bed and then out (right of picture) next to the shower waste.
A couple of pictures from last Sunday when the stove was first started.

A warm glow.

A whisp of smoke.

Phase 1 on the right, Phase 2 on the left. Both are made from bean tins, Phase 2 is pop rivited.

Friday, I have tons of holiday left at work so I think I'll be taking a lot of Fridays off!
The stainless steel flue pipe I ordered online arrived during the week which means I've been preparing the deck collar and starting to fit it today.

A hole is cut in the roof, the handrail also has to be cut as it's in the way (to be tidied up later).

To stop the chimney waving out at an odd angle I've welded a circular wedge that creates a counter for the deck collar to sit on at a more reasonable angle.

The stove inside with a dry fit of the chimney.

The chimney sticks out the roof. Eventually this will be cut level with the deck collar so a more traditional removable chimney can be put in place.
The welds have been tidied up in the same fashion as the rest of the boat, with filler :o)

I forgot to add, I was in The Mad Hatter for lunch and noticed they've added a Fire Exit sign to the tent/marquee in their garden. It's probably worth nothing that this tent is open on three sides.

Made me chuckle :o)
It's been a long weekend, starting on Friday with an anticipated high.

The Davey HotPot stove I ordered from Marine Store arrived and Friday was taken off work to plonk it in. Things didn't quite go to plan as I couldn't find anywhere that sold pipe with an internal diameter of 2.5in. Avery Knight in Bath, usually very good didn't have anything either. Never mind though. Off to the boat to make a plinth, no point sitting the stove on the floor and wasting space above.

The stove on it's plinth. The bottom of the stove has been tapped to accept 4 x M10 bolts as per the instructions. Lemonade is the beverage of the day.

An 18mm ply backing is screwed on and cement board cut, ready to be fixed on.
The space below will eventually be a massive draw to hold stuff to burn.

Saturday was a woodwork day, I cut the bathroom side bulkhead sheets to shape and also a couple of the front wall lining pieces.

No bulkheads, just two innocent sheets of ply.

Tada! We have rooms!

Fuzzy, but you can see the piece to the right of the window is in place (out of shot the left is done too).

Sunday has been plumbing and sinking.

Pipes exit from behind where the sink will be. Two for the sink, two for the shower/WC and the bottom is the feed from the tank.

The bathroom sink is in place, this really makes things feel as if they're moving along.

Pipes exit underneath the sink. The only problem with these is that the poly pipe is stuck in it's curly spiral shape and won't straighten out, they keep popping out of their clips, I'll have to get some pipe clips with retaining straps.

It's been cold this weekend, the canal was frozen over Saturday and Sunday!

Looking towards the Aquaduct

Towards Bradford, note the dome prism on the roof...

Now it's gone! It sat where I want to put the collar for the stove flue so today (Sunday) I cut a piece from the piece removed when cutting the hatch and welded it in. A bit of grinding, filling, sanding and painting later, tada!
